Jack Grealish could be set for a shock return to Aston Villa this summer after the club became the odds-on favourites to complete the signing.

The 30-year-old has winger been heavily linked with a Manchester City exit this summer once again.

Last season, he spent the campaign on loan to Everton, before an injury halfway through the campaign saw it cut short.

This summer, the England international has been linked with a return to the Toffees, potentially on another loan.

However, seemingly out of nowhere, one bookmaker has placed Aston Villa as the favourites to complete the signing of Grealish at 8/11 odds.

Formerly the captain of the Birmingham outfit, Grealish had been at the club until 2023, when he then made a then-record move to Man City for £100million.

Jack Grealish capture would add some excitement back to Villa Park

It is no secret that Villa fans have had a miserable summer to date.

The club have lots many of its star players that helped them win the Europa League last summer, with Ezri Konsa the next player expected to depart.

Many of Villa’s signings have also been uninspiring, with Johan Manzambi perhaps being the only eye-catching addition.

Nevertheless, if they were to bring Grealish back to Villa Park, it would no doubt excite the fanbase.

The winger is a modern-day legend at the Birmingham outfit, and many supporters dream of a return.

However, it remains to be seen if Villa are pursuing the attacker, and if they are capable of completing the signing.

Who else is linked to Grealish?

After Villa, Everton are also heavily linked with Grealish.

Currently, the Toffees are 6/4 to re-sign the England international, who was excellent while out on loan.

A surprise move to Atletico Madrid has also not been ruled out at 6/1, which could see Grealish leave England for the first time in his career.

Al Hilal and Juventus are also considered outsiders at 9/1 and 11/1 in what could also be a shock move.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen where Grealish will be playing his football throughout the 2026-27 season, as the attacker looks to get his career back on track after a tough last few months.
