Ayase Ueda: Feyenoord to accept ‘big offer’ as Leeds ready striker swoop
Ayase Ueda is a key target for Leeds United, and Feyenoord are prepared to listen to offers for their star striker, sources have told Football Insider.
The 27-year-old has struck 25 goals from just 30 league appearances in the Netherlands this season, and the Whites, Everton and Tottenham are all chasing a deal to bring him to the Premier League.
Feyenoord are extremely reluctant to lose their free-scoring forward, but sources have indicated that they are willing to consider a sale if a “big offer” is put on the table ahead of next season.
Ueda is on course to win the Eredivisie’s golden boot award at the end of the campaign, and is also set for the chance to enhance his reputation further with Japan at the World Cup this summer.
Leeds’ transfer plans for the upcoming window have seen them identify a new striker as a clear priority, and a move for Ueda could now be firmly within reach if they can stump up the cash.

Feyenoord have been the closest challengers to runaway title winners PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie this season, and their success has largely been down to Ueda’s goals.
The former Cercle Brugge frontman has already notched a career-best 25 with two games left in the season, and his remarkable campaign has already put him eight strikers clear of his nearest challenger in the goalscoring charts.

Leeds are no stranger to Eredivisie strikers, having been heavily linked with AZ Alkmaar’s Irish star Troy Parrott in recent months, but he is 10 goals shy of their latest target so far this term.
Ueda’s services are set to be in strong demand this summer after an explosive campaign in front of goal, and clubs are already queuing up to offer him a shot at the Premier League.
Leeds are firmly among them, as Daniel Farke bids to add further goalscoring support for Dominic Calvert-Lewin at the top of the pitch.
Ueda is under contract at Feyenoord until the summer of 2028, but if the right amount of money is put on the table, then he could be allowed to leave De Kuip well before then.
Daniel Farke handed significant transfer war chest as new plan clear
Former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson recently told Football Insider that Leeds will give Farke £100million to spend on new additions this summer, as they bid to further strengthen their group.
The West Yorkshire outfit are keen to try and spend their cash in a measured way, as they remain fearful of the significant risks that often come with a substantial spend.
Borson suggested that the Whites are likely to try to pick off some fringe players from clubs at the top of the league, who would be capable of immediately coming in and improving their starting XI.
The football finance expert also outlined that up-and-coming young talents are likely to be on Leeds’ radar, as they will target deals that will provide the most bang for their buck.
