Jermaine Jenas has revealed that he believes if Harry Kane left Tottenham for Real Madrid, that the culture change could “rock” him.
In an interview with BBC Sport, Kane’s former Spurs teammate believes that the change could be a shock to him, relating to his own experiences.
He said:”He strikes me as a bit of a home boy and being away from where he has been his whole life will be a shock to him.
“I got dragged out of Nottingham when I was 18 and got sent to Newcastle, which was a culture shock for me at the time.”
Kane has been in sensational form this season, scoring 13 goals in his 12 appearances across all competitions.
Despite signing a contract extension in December 2016, which ends in 2022, the striker has been subject to transfer speculation.
The constant rumours of Real Madrid’s interest in the England star have been well documented, with a potential summer move being suggested.
Currently, Kane has been sidelined due to an injury to his left hamstring that he sustained in the 4-1 win over Liverpool.
The injury caused him to miss the shocking 3-2 defeat to West Ham in the league as well as the 1-0 defeat to title rivals Manchester United.
However, the striker has since returned to training and could feature in Spurs’ game against Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
In other Tottenham news, David Ginola has made a big claim in his comparison between Harry Kane and Ronaldo.
