Everton are joint favourites with Bayern Munich to sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko during the January transfer window, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
BetVictor have the Toffees and European giants Bayern priced at 6/1 to land Dzeko, 31, before the end of next month while Real Madrid are third favourites at 8/1.
Everton are widely thought to be in the hunt for a striker in the January window after they failed to sufficiently replace Romelu Lukaku in the summer when he left for Manchester United.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Oumar Niasse have emerged as the go-to choices up front while summer signing Sandro Ramirez has appeared to have fell down the pecking order.
Dzeko would no doubt be a great signing for Everton if they were able to prise him away from Roma.
The former Manchester City striker has been prolific in front of goal wherever he has played in his career and has already been in good form this season, helping the Italian giants reach the last-16 of the Champions League.
The Bosnia international has made 21 appearances across all competitions this term, scoring 11 goals in the process.
Dzeko is also proven to be a reliable source of goals in the Premier League from his previous spell with Man City where he netted 50 times in 130 league outings, as well as winning two titles.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are in the running to sign this defender who is valued at £20million.
