Betting latest: Leeds installed favourites to sign 25-year-old from PL giants
By Harvey Byrne
Leeds have been installed as the favourites to sign striker Danny Ings from Premier League giant’s Liverpool, according to a reliable journalist.
Sky Bet have priced the Yorkshire giants at 6/1 to sign the 25-year-old before the summer transfer deadline in eight days time.
Newcastle trail closely behind in the betting rankings at 9/1, while both Burnley and Scottish giants Celtic share odds of 12/1.
The odds on Ings come as Leeds look for a replacement for star Chris Wood, who left for Premier League side Burnley last week in a deal for £15million.
Ings’ name could possibly be one of those drafted with injury so far limiting the English forward to just 11 appearances for the Liverpool first team since signing from Burnley in the summer of 2015.

His last outing for Jurgen Klopp’s side came came all the way back in an October EFL Cup clash against Tottenham and he has not even made the bench for each of Liverpool’s first two Premier League matches.
He has however shown his goal scoring ability in the Championship with Burnley previously, which saw him net an impressive 27 goals in 87 appearances in the English second tier.
Ings is still contracted to the Merseyside giants until 2020, but a loan move to Leeds may look appealing in an attempt to regain his fitness and scoring ability.
In other Leeds transfer news, fans of the Yorkshire giants have reacted to Souleymane Doukara’s mutual termination.
