Tottenham have been installed as one of the favourites to sign striker Timo Werner from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig this summer.
The north London giants are strongly in the running to land the 21-year-old, who has already been capped by Germany after impressing for his club.
Bet Victor have placed odds of 8/1 on Spurs signing Werner, narrowly behind three European clubs.
Premier League rivals Liverpool are the favourites to land the Stuttgart-born player at 3/1, while Bayern Munich and AC Milan trail behind at odds of 5/1 and 6/1 respectively.
Close London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea then sit behind Spurs alongside Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund with the quartet sharing odds of 12/1.
Tottenham may be on the hunt for a young forward in the coming months with last summer’s striker signing Vincent Janssen so far failing to impress at the club.
Werner certainly meets the type of player that Mauricio Pochettino likes with 14 goals and six assists from 25 matches in all competitions this season, while also winning his first Germany cap against England last week.
He does however still have three years remaining on his contract with Leizpig and after they paid out a club-record £8million to sign him last summer, they may look to earn a large profit if they do sell him.
In other Tottenham transfer news, Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter to speculation about an extraordinary £50million swoop.
