Former Birmingham City, Norwich City and Derby County striker Cameron Jerome is set to join MK Dons on a free transfer, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The 34-year-old is currently without a club after his contract with Turkish Super Lig side Göztepe S.K. expired over the summer.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that he has agreed terms of a one-year contract at the Stadium MK and the deal is set to be finalised soon.
Jerome scored nine goals and provided four assists in 54 games across two seasons in the Turkish top division but only featured once when the season restarted in June due to injury.
However, he is now set to move back to England and link up with his former Derby teammate Richard Keough at MK Dons.
Russell Martin’s side have struggled so far this season and currently sit bottom of the third tier after picking up just two points from their opening four games.
They have only scored three goals in the league and will be hoping Jerome will be able to continue his impressive goal record in England.
The striker scored 80 goals in 269 Championship appearances and 32 goals in 211 Premier League games but is yet to play in League One.
His last spell in England came at Derby in the 2017/18 season where he scored seven times in 21 starts in the second tier.
