Paul Robinson claims that West Ham winger Grady Diangana will be as delighted as the Hammers areafter impressing during his loan spell at West Brom this season.
The former England goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says that the player will be enjoying playing regular first-team football at the Hawthorns, having been in and out of the team at the Hammers last season.
The 20-year-old managed to feature 17 times in the Premier League during the 2018/19 campaign, while his first two senior goals came in the League Cup.
Having moved to West Brom in the Championship for the 2019/20 campaign, Robinson says that the Irons will be delighted to see him developing while the player himself will just be happy to be playing.
Asked if West Ham would be satisfied with his loan spell, Robinson told Football Insider: “I think moreso him, he’ll be pleased getting game time because there’s nothing worse for a footballer, as a young footballer, than if you’re not playing, you’re nowhere in the squad but you’re training without an end product on a Saturday or a Sunday.
“For him I think it’s probably just a breath of fresh air just to get out, play football and West Ham will be very pleased with how his loan is going.”
Diangana, who has proven his ability to play on either flank, has a total of 21 first-team appearances under his belt for the Hammers since coming through the youth ranks in east London, with six of those coming as starts in the Premier League.
He has turned out 11 times for West Brom this season, netting four goals and chipping in with three assists for his teammates.
