Kevin Schade sends message to Brentford teammate after source's Liverpool reveal

Kevin Schade has sent a message to Brentford teammate Michael Kayode on social media as Liverpool set their sights on his signature.

Schade, 24, has started the campaign in fine form for Brentford and is attracting interest from a whole host of top clubs across Europe.

He has scored three goals in five Premier League games for the Bees so far this season after registering 11 goal contributions in 35 appearances last term.

Brentford have reportedly opened contract talks with Schade in the last week as they look to extend his deal past June 2028.

Liverpool are among the leading suitors of his services and could make a move to coax him to Anfield in the next transfer window.

Schade has taken to Instagram in the face of fresh rumours around his future to extend his support to Bees teammate Kayode.

Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Liverpool are considering a bid for Kayode in the January window after extensively scouting him in the last 12 months.

He bagged against the Reds on the final day of the last Premier League campaign to earn Brentford a 1-1 draw at Anfield.

The 24-year-old has started for Germany in each of their Nations League fixtures over the last week, with Bees teammate Kayode making his debut for Italy against Turkiye on Monday night.

Flying full-back Kayode scored in the Azzurri's 4-1 Nations League win and took to Instagram to celebrate his strike after the game, with Kayode replying: "Weshhhhh" with several star-eyes emojis.

Schade has outperformed Bradley Barcola in several key metrics this season

Schade would provide competition to summer signing Barcola on the left wing if he was to join Liverpool in either of the next two windows.

Barcola is yet to really get going since his move from PSG, with Schade outperforming him in numerous stats so far in the Premier League.

The Brentford star has completed more successful dribbles (0.8 to 0.53), won more duels (6.83 to 2.65) and taken more touches in the opposition box (5.42 to 3.71) per 90 minutes in the PL up to now.

Barcola has created more chances (1.06 to 0.6) and made more successful passes (17.5 to 13.5) per 90, but Schade also comes out on top for distance covered (10.4km to 10.3km), shots on target (1.21 to 0.53) and possession won in the final third (0.6 to 0) per 90.
