Sources: Brentford make approach to sign Burnley's Zian Flemming
Brentford have enquired about the availability of Burnley star Zian Flemming, sources have told Football Insider.
The 27-year-old striker has been subject to widespread interest since the Clarets’ relegation to the Championship, with Leeds United also being linked.
This comes after the attacker netted 11 Premier League goals in the 2025-26 campaign, despite Burnley going down without much fight.
Now, Brentford are looking to win the race for his signature, as they look to increase their attacking options ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The Bees were heavily reliant on Igor Thiago up top in the last campaign, with the striker the only player to net over eight Premier League goals.
As a result, Keith Andrews may be hoping that Flemming can solve this issue as they look to challenge for Europe this season.
How good is Zian Flemming?
Despite going down with a Burnley side that amassed just 22 points last season, Flemming managed to put out a good individual campaign.
The striker was a consistent threat and had an excellent end to the season, where he netted six times in his last 11 matches.
According to Fotmob on 26 June, the attacker has plenty of eye-catching stats, which has no doubt helped to attract the interest of Brentford.
Per 90 minutes, he was averaging 0.56 goals, a 0.40 xG, 2.69 shots, 5.78 duels won, 3.45 aerial duels won and 1.32 fouls won in the Premier League per 90 minutes.
If they can get the transfer over the line, Brentford will be hoping that these stats can be replicated and even improved on for the 2026-27 campaign.
However, it remains to be seen if the Bees can beat rival clubs to his signature.
Who else are Brentford looking to sign?
Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Brentford are eyeing a move for Paris FC attacker Ilan Kebbal.
The 27-year-old is understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League, and there is believed to be a great deal of interest in the player.
The Algerian international netted nine times and picked up four assists in Ligue 1 last season, and was one of the standout players in the division.
However, it remains to be seen where Kebbal will be playing his football in the 2026-27 campaign.
