Brighton could be on course to sell Maxim De Cuyper for an astronomical fee alongside Luka Vuskovic as they each find fantastic form.

The Seagulls are flying high right now in the midst of a run of six straight wins across three different competitions.

Fabian Hurzeler's side sit third in the Premier League following their 5-0 thrashing of rivals Crystal Palace on Sunday.

They have been lauded for their move to sign Croatian international centre-back Vuskovic in the summer after he pushed to leave Spurs.

Vuskovic has been tipped to be sold for over £100million by Brighton in the future, and the stats show that De Cuyper has the potential to leave for a similar fee.

The Belgian international is in the form of his life under Hurzeler and continues to impress each week despite playing further forward in an unfamiliar left-wing role.

Maxim De Cuyper on course to be Brighton's next huge sale as data studied

Vuskovic has earned the huge plaudits at Brighton for the way he has adapted to the Premier League at just 19 years old.

Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Brighton already believe he is worth £100m or more just months on from signing him for a club-record £46m fee.

Vuskovic may not be the only Seagulls star set to command such a fee, with De Cuyper's stats proving that he has all the talent to also leave for such a figure in the years to come.

The 25-year-old defender has been starring on the wing for Brighton this season, with four goals and three assists in 11 appearances across all competitions.

He put in yet another fantastic performance against Palace on Sunday, creating the most chances (4), winning the most ground duels (7) and winning the most fouls (3) of any player on the pitch at the Amex Stadium.

De Cuyper is arguably outperforming Vuskovic, relative to their positions and what was expected from each player in this campaign.

He may already be approaching the prime of his career, and may not even be looking to leave Brighton, but the 25-year-old will surely be worth an almighty fee close to the Croat's current price tag if clubs circle for his services soon.

Hurzeler has heaped praise on De Cuyper's impact at Brighton

The versatile defender is already a regular at left-back for Belgium and is now starting week in, week out for one of the most in-form teams in world football.

Seagulls manager Hurzeler has recognised his quality and improvements on last season publicly, after praising De Cuyper last month.

Speaking to the media, he said: "Everyone saw it in the World Cup, what he is capable of doing in (terms of) creating chances and creating positive and good moments for the team in possession. Therefore, now he plays more regularly, of course, also in a different position.

"He came as a full-back, and overall I think he will be a really good full-back, but he is now playing more as a winger. As a winger, he can help us with his creativity, good understanding of the game and pressing. I'm happy with his performances...hopefully he can keep going like this."
