Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma "would fit into" Jurgen Klopp's style of play at Liverpool, according to Paul Robinson.

The former Spurs and England number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, revealed he's been "really impressed" with the 24-year-old's "brilliant" displays in Spain.

Liverpool

According to Fabrizio Romano last Tuesday (28 December), Liverpool "really love" the player but will find it "impossible" to sign him in January.

Villarreal have no intention of selling their star forward in the middle of the season.

When asked by Football Insider's Dylan Childs for his assessment of the interest, Robinson said: "I have been really impressed with him at Villarreal.

"He's been brilliant under Unai Emery in a team that has done really well in recent years.

"I don't think he is a player who would improve Liverpool's starting XI straight away though.

"There is a lot of games for a club like Liverpool though so he would have a role to play. He would not be one of the first names on the team sheet but he is certainly a player who would add value to their squad.

"I could see him fitting into Klopp's style of play. I think he'd do well."

Danjuma joined Unai Emery's side in a £21.3million deal from Bournemouth last summer.

His contract runs until the summer of 2026.
