'Brilliant' - Paul Robinson in awe of Everton player transformed by Ancelotti
Paul Robinson hailed Yerry Mina as “brilliant” as he praised the new Everton “fight and desire” that was absent under Marco Silva.
The former England international, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claims Carlo Ancelotti has got the Toffees playing for the shirt again and hailed the transformed Colombia centre-back.
The Merseyside club were 2-0 down after 42 minutes at Vicarage Road but a brace from Mina in first-half stoppage time meant the sides were all level going into the break.
Despite central midfielder Fabian Delph being sent off midway through the second half Everton completed a remarkable comeback in the last minute of the game. Theo Walcott scoring his first goal of the season.
Speaking on Saturday’s performance, Robinson told Football Insider: “It was a fantastic result that they managed to pull off yesterday. After being two down you could not see any way back for them.
“Mina’s two goals were brilliant. Then to get the goal at the end with ten men shows the fight and desire that Everton has got now. They did not have it at the beginning of the season.

“Everton have spent hundreds of millions on an abundance of talent but nobody has been able to put that talent into a formation that starts producing results.
“He seems to have done that and got the fight back in the players and the passion back in the shirt. Between now and the end of the season I think they will continue to improve.”
Everton climb to ninth in the table after only losing one game in seven since Ancelotti’s appointment.
It is a very timely three points for The Blues with Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool all to come in their next five games.
