Campbell: Aston Villa have dropped big hint over Grealish future
Kevin Campbell has claimed Aston Villa have dropped a big hint about Jack Grealish’s future with their bid for Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker is now adamant Grealish, 25, will be leaving the Midlands club this summer.
Villa had an initial £25million offer for Smith Rowe rejected and, as revealed by Football Insider on 21st June, they are set to return to Arsenal with an improved bid.
The latest from a Villa source is that the offer is likely to be more than £30m.
It comes as Sky Sports report Manchester City are stepping up their interest in club captain Jack Grealish.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on Villa’s pursuit of Smith Rowe, Campbell said: “How cheeky!

“Let me tell you something, that means one thing – Grealish is off. That is what that tells me. Jack Grealish is on the move.
“They are clearly trying to get as many quality players in their midfield who can unlock a door as possible. They are preparing for him to leave.
“By doing their business early they’re trying to avoid being held to ransom because if they receive £100million for Grealish teams will charge Villa a premium for their players.
“They have got one through the door in Buendia but they need more. Grealish is as good as two players. This is why they want Smith Rowe.
“Smith Rowe is going nowhere though.”
