Jamie Carragher has told Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius to “shut up and do your job” after he produced another questionable display.
The Reds drew 2-2 with West Ham on Sunday afternoon at Anfield, with Karius at fault for the Hammers’ first goal.
Adam Lallana had put the hosts ahead, but Karius failed to stop Dimitri Payet’s free-kick from going in which levelled the scoring.
Michail Antonio put the Hammers in the lead before half time, but Divock Origi punished keeper Darren Randolph for his costly mistake, which allowed the Belgian to equalise.
However, it was Karius’ display that drew criticism once again from club legend Carragher, who had a simple message for the 23-year-old.
“My advice to Karius would be to shut up and do your job,” Carragher told Sky Sports during the half-time break.
Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville had criticised Loris Karius for his display during the 4-3 loss at Bournemouth last Sunday. The youngster responded by simply stating that he is not bothered about what the former Manchester United player thinks.
He failed to keep hold of a shot, which was bundled in by Chelsea loanee Nathan Ake, who scored the winner in stoppage time for Eddie Howe’s men.
Karius was a summer signing from German outfit FC Mainz and he has gone on to represent the Merseyside club on 11 occasions in all competitions this season.
Simon Mignolet was the first choice keeper last term, but the Belgian has since been demoted to the bench since Karius’ arrival.
In the latest Liverpool news, Gary Lineker has provided his verdict on this Reds ace after another dubious display.
