Carter-Vickers tipped to explode at Celtic after source reveal
Noel Whelan insists Cameron Carter-Vickers is perfectly suited for Celtic after he snubbed other offers to join the club.
The former Aberdeen forward, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to an update from a club source.
On 3 September, this site revealed Carter-Vickers, 23, rejected a deadline-day move from Tottenham to Torino.
It is understood the centre-back knocked back the potential move as he preferred to stay in the UK.
Celtic signed 12 players this summer but until Carter-Vickers‘ arrival, only one of them was a centre half.
Whelan insists Carter-Vickers jumped at the chance to join a club that will be playing in Europe.

“There is the opportunity for him to be successful and to win something,” Whelan told Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs.
“It’s a Brilliant move for him. He’s quite an aggressive defender and Celtic need that.
“He will fit straight into the way they play. Celtic and Rangers are going to be the dominant teams again, I know Hibs and Hearts have started really well.
“You can see where Celtic needed depth and that is centre half. They needed to get players in with experience and that aggression.
“I think it’s a great move for him, he’ll grow into that position at the club. It suits him.
“Playing in Europe was of course a big selling point for him, I really think it’s a good move for all parties.”
The Hoops start their Europa League group stage campaign with a game against Real Betis next week.
Celtic failed to reach the knockout stages last season.
