Celtic dressing room verdict shared by pundit after big-money Juranovic bid revealed
Noel Whelan has claimed the Celtic squad will be buzzing over the potential signing of Josip Juranovic.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Leeds striker suggested the 26-year-old’s arrival would give the dressing room a lift.
As revealed by Football Insider on Tuesday (August 17th), Celtic are set to table a £2million-plus offer to Legia Warsaw for the right-back.
The Hoops had their first bid rejected but have remained in negotiations for their first-choice full-back target.
Celtic currently only have Anthony Ralston as a senior right-back option.
Whelan suggested the arrival of a Croatia international like Juranovic would give the entire squad a boost.

Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “We said about that freshening up that needed to happen at Celtic.
“They’re finding that groove and I think with the introduction of another new player, it sends good vibes around the changing room.
“That competition for places and that quality of player, it gives everybody a lift.
“Now they’ve got themselves into a really good place, in a good mindset by winning games. Scratching that defeat off against Hearts with the win in the cup against them.
“They’re showing a bit more fight, a bit more character and are a bit more like the Celtic that we know.
“They have shown loads of character, showed loads of belief and trusted in the process with the new manager.”
Juranovic has 10 caps under his belt for Croatia and started twice at this summer’s European Championships.
His contract at Legia Warsaw runs until 2023, although the club have the option to extend that by a year.
