Rangers tipped for late spending spree to fend off Celtic after major development - pundit
Gabby Agbonlahor is tipping Rangers to embark on a late signing spree as the end of the window after their Champions League exit.
The former Aston Villa hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the Gers must sign some new players in the next few weeks.
Rangers lost their unbeaten league record and crashed out of the Champions League within a matter of days earlier this month.
The only new faces at Ibrox are John Lundstram and Fashion Sakala.
Both players arrived on free transfers following the expiration of their contracts at Sheffield United and Oostende respectively.
Meanwhile, Celtic have been bringing in plenty of new faces as they look to rebuild their squad.

The Hoops have now won four games in a row and scored 15 goals across those games.
Agbonlahor insists Rangers need to bring in some fresh blood before the window closes.
“They need to spend a bit of money,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“Every season you need to keep improving your side, I expect them to keep pushing and sign some players.
“They need to sign a few players, it’s looking close with Celtic at the moment.
“You always have to keep improving your squad. There could be some late business.”
Rangers are next in action on Thursday night against Alashkert of Armenia in the Europa League.
The winner takes a place in the group stage as the Gers look to make amends for their poor showing against Malmo.
