Celtic are set to begin their left-back overhaul by offloading home-grown ace Calvin Miller – and Boli Bolingoli could follow.
A Hoops source has told Football Insider that the club are not expected to offer a new deal to Miller, 22.
He has been sidelined since September after undergoing surgery that ruled him out for the rest of the campaign, which was terminated prematurely earlier this week.
Miller’s four-year contract is due to expire next month and he is set to look for a new club after failing to force his way into Neil Lennon’s side this campaign.
The academy product returned last summer from a half-season loan at Ayr United but has not added to his five senior Celtic appearances.
Football Insider broke the news in March that Celtic’s transfer priority this summer is to recruit a new senior left-back.
The Hoops are set to listen to offers for £3million 2019 signing Bolingoli following his dramatic fall from grace as well as offload Miller.
The younger man graduated from the Celtic youth ranks to make his first-team breakthrough when Brendan Rodgers was manager.
Four of those came at left-back in the 2017-18 campaign.
But Miller has subsequently fallen well down the pecking order and was loaned out to Dundee and Ayr.
Taylor had emerged as the first choice left-back or left wing-back before the lockdown that led to the season being called early.
He is set to stay on and fight for his place next season, with at least one senior player coming in for that position.
