Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to heap praise on Scott Allan after he played a pivotal role in Dundee’s win against Rangers at Dens Park on Friday night.

Allan, 25, is on loan in Neil McCann’s side from the Bhoys and came off the bench in the second half to provide the assist to Mark O’Hara’s winner against the Light Blues.

Dee midfielder O’Hara rounded off a brace thanks to the hard work of Allan on the edge of the Rangers box before he was found by an inch-perfect pass from the ex-Dundee United player.

Allan is a Rangers supporter and is universally unliked by both sides of the Old Firm divide in Glasgow.

He began his career at Dundee United and has played for a host of different teams including West Brom, Portsmouth, Hibernian and eventually Celtic, who he signed for in 2015.

The midfielder has found it hard to settle down at Parkhead due to it being public knowledge that he is a Gers fan, but he was the most popular Bhoy on Friday when he played a stormer against the Light Blues.
