Celtic fans have reacted with pride and surprise on Twitter after Zinedine Zidane compared striker Moussa Dembele to all-time great strikers Ronaldo, Thierry Henry and Raul.
Dembele, 20, has scored 14 goals in 15 starts for the 47-time Scottish Champions this season and is even keeping out last season’s 40-goal hitman Leigh Griffiths from the Hoops starting 11.
Former France and Real midfielder Zidane is a big fan of Dembele, but also revealed that the former Fulham forward must remain at Celtic Park for the foreseeable future to continue his development.
Celtic fans took to Twitter in a mixed response, with some lauding praise on Zidane and Dembele while others are adamant that the Hoops’ number 10 is not going anywhere.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
@FK_HH no chance he's going anywhere in summer, guys head screwed on and his value will only go up. 2.5 season min here maybe 3

I hope he stays longer, give us seven years like the King and then he can go anywhere.

if he knows what's best for him he'll take Zidane's advice and stay at Celtic for at least a couple more years

Dembele scored the winner in Sunday’s Betfred Cup semi final against Old Firm rivals Rangers in the dying embers of the match, as Leigh Griffiths squared for the France Under-21’s striker to finish skillfully past Matt Gilks.
With a contract until 2020, manager Brendan Rodgers will be looking to keep his most prized asset at Parkhead for as long as possible.
