Celtic have chance to make millions on Luis Palma as interest spikes in forgotten star

Celtic have a decision to make on Luis Palma in the upcoming summer transfer window as the winger’s loan spell at Lech Poznan nears its end.

The 26-year-old has become a forgotten man at the Hoops in recent years after finding himself out of favour.

A loan move to Olympiacos was quickly followed by a move to Lech Poznan, where he has shown off his talents this season.

Recently, Palma has hit form, picking up a goal and an assist against GKS Katowice in a 3-3 draw.

With Sevilla now showing interest in the winger, Celtic could now make millions in a potential bidding war for the star.

Sevilla show interest in Celtic’s Luis Palma

According to the Daily Record on 14 April, Sevilla are the latest club to be interested in a move for Palma.

So far, the winger has picked up 11 goal contributions in 25 league matches, which has helped spike interest for the Honduras international.

While Poznan do have a £3.5million option to buy, Palma has hinted that he is set to return to Celtic come the end of the season.

Now, while Sevilla’s interest could depend on whether they can stay in La Liga, this is a chance for the Hoops to make millions.

If Sevilla are interested, more teams are likely to follow, especially given his form in Poland.

As a result, Celtic could orchestrate a bidding war for their forgotten star to help bump up their potential income.

If this can surpass the £3.5m fee Poznan have as an option to buy, it would be a significant bonus for the club and could help fund additional signings.

Who else is likely to leave Celtic in the summer?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Celtic may also sell Johnny Kenny this summer.

The striker is out on loan at English League One side Bolton Wanderers, but an influx of summer transfers is expected to force him even further down the pecking order at Parkhead.

The 22-year-old has picked up six goal contributions in 10 games for Bolton since moving to the club.

However, after previously struggling at Celtic earlier this season, it remains to be seen if there is any way back for the Republic of Ireland international.
