Celtic have easy Kieron Bowie decision as they eye Daizen Maeda replacement

Celtic are once again eyeing a move for Kieron Bowie this summer transfer window.

The striker was linked with a move to Parkhead in the winter window before he moved to Verona.

However, while his performances were solid in the Serie A, he was unable to prevent his new club from being relegated from the Italian top-flight.

As a result, according to  L’Arena via Tutto Hellas Verona on 21 May, has reported that Celtic have reignited their interest in the Scotland international.

Signing the striker would surely be an easy win for Celtic as they search for a replacement for Daizen Maeda this summer.

Nevertheless, this value is quite low, and Celtic should be all over a potential transfer over the coming months.

The 23-year-old has already proved himself in the Scottish Premiership, and his form in the Serie A may be an indication that he could also perform well in Europe next season.

As a result, Bowie looks like an excellent potential replacement for Maeda, who is expected to leave the Old Firm club this summer.

Who is interested in signing Daizen Maeda this summer?

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Maeda is being tracked by numerous Premier League sides ahead of the summer transfer window.

The attacker’s form has been noticed by numerous clubs after he dragged the Hoops to the Scottish Premiership title this season.

Maeda is out of contract next summer, and Celtic are happy to cash in and give him his dream move to the Premier League.

This comes as negotiations over the offer of a new contract have failed to progress in the last year, and Hoops chiefs believe there is now no chance he will extend.

However, it remains to be seen who will come in for the Japan international, with Maeda unlikely to be short of offers this summer transfer window.
