Celtic are already preparing for the summer transfer window, and could look to offload Luis Palma.

The winger was loaned out to Lech Poznan this season, where he has impressed in Poland.

Overall, he managed to net 11 goals and pick up 10 assists in all competition, which has attracted plenty of interest.

Poznan are keen to make his stay a permanent one, while Sevilla are also rumoured to be interested.

Therefore, with a potential bidding war on the horizon, it is baffling that Celtic have reduced their demands for a Palma sale down to £2.6million.

According to Futbol Centroamerica on 17 May, Celtic have softened their stance on a Palma sale.

Poznan originally had a £3.47m buy option for the winger. However, this has now been reduced by 25 per cent.

The Polish side has seen two bids rejected for Palma, with the last being just under £2m.

While the £2.6m fee would be a record for Poznan, it is still baffling why Celtic would reduce their asking price.

With Sevilla having the potential to make a move for Palma, it now means that the Hoops could miss out on thousands, with the Spanish side unlikely to be short on cash.

Therefore, Celtic will surely come to rue this decision as they aim to raise funds for potential incomings over the next couple of months.

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Celtic will not stand in the way of a Daizen Maeda departure this summer.

The attacker went on a sensational run at the end of the 2025-26 campaign to ensure that the Old Firm club retained their Scottish Premiership title.

The Japan striker bagged seven goals in the Hoops’ last five games of the campaign, including the club’s second in a 3-1 win over Hearts on Saturday.

With Maeda now entering the last year of his contract, Celtic are prepared to cash in rather than risk him leaving on a free transfer.

Celtic’s transfer plans are to be dictated by their next managerial appointment, and therefore, a sale is unlikely until one is made, and until after the 2026 World Cup.
