Celtic are on the hunt for a goalkeeper ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Despite their Scottish Premiership title victory, the Hoops have had many issues between the sticks this season.

Kasper Schmeichel was heavily unreliable until his injury, with the Dane now expected to depart in the summer.

In comparison, Viljami Sinisalo made multiple errors in the run-in, which almost cost the Hoops the title.

One potential replacement is Mathew Ryan, who put in an excellent performance for Levante on the weekend, as Celtic eye a summer swoop.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper put in one of his most important displays for Levante on Sunday as they beat fellow strugglers Mallorca 2-0.

The victory pulled the club two points away from the relegation zone going into the final day, as they sit 15^th in the table.

Ryan was critical to the three points and was arguably the man of the match.

According to Fotmob on 18 May, the goalkeeper prevented 1.12 goals after making three saves throughout the match.

He also boasted a passing accuracy of 62 per cent and completed 42 per cent of his attempted long balls.

As a result, Ryan ensured Levante picked up a victory in perhaps their biggest game of the campaign to date.

Now, Celtic have to make an approach for the goalkeeper. Levante are yet to trigger his one-year extension, meaning that he is set to become a free agent in the summer.

If the Hoops can move quickly, they may be able to convince the Australia international to move to Parkhead, especially now Champions League qualification has been achieved.

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Nikolas Polster is also interested in a move to Celtic.

Wolfsberger are willing to cash in on the goalkeeper this summer, and could become the Hoops’ number one.

The youngster has kept eight clean sheets from 29 games in the Austrian Bundesliga this term, and he also has interest from Wolves on the table ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

However, it remains to be seen who Celtic will bring in during the summer transfer window, with the new manager likely to have the final say.
