Celtic news: Hutton issues 'very surprising' Ange Postecoglou claim after journalist's update
Alan Hutton would be “very surprised” if Ange Postecoglou leaves Celtic at this point in his career.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Rangers right-back said a move to the Premier League is something Postecoglou “might look at” in the future.
According to journalist Douglas Alexander, reported in the Sunday Times (11 September), the Australian is “still a strong contender” to become the new Brighton boss.
Former Brighton manager Graham Potter took over from Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.
The Premier League club are said to have been impressed by what they have seen from the 57-year-old so far.
According to the Telegraph, reported in the Metro (10 September), the former Australia national team boss doesn’t want to “abandon” the project he started at Parkhead last year.

Hutton suggested Postecoglou may want to manage in the Premier League in the future.
“I’d be very surprised if he was to go at this moment in time,” he told Football Insider.
“He’s just started something. Of course, it’s been an incredible job that he’s done so far. I think he’ll want to continue that run, he’ll want to win trophies, he’s got Celtic in the Champions League so that’s a big draw in itself but ultimately you know that managers want to manage in the Premier League so it might come again.
“I think this is a little bit too soon. He’s building at this moment in time but may be in the future it’s something he might look at.“
