Celtic tipped to complete Jota signing after source's £5m reveal today - pundit
It will be “easy” for Celtic to convert Jota’s loan deal into a permanent one, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Celtic is an “attractive club” and Jota will be loving life at Parkhead.
A club source told Football Insider on Monday (10 January) that they are close to signing the Portuguese winger permanently and the latest from a source on Friday is the fee will be over £5million on top of the loan fee already paid.
The 22-year-old moved to Parkhead on a season-long loan deal from Benfica at the beginning of September.
The Hoops then want to add another wide forward before the end of the January transfer window.
Ange Postecoglou insisted yesterday (13 January), via Sky Sports, they have not made contact over new targets.

He has already been busy this month with the arrival of Japanese trio Daizen Maeda, Yosuke Ideguchi and Reo Hatate from the J-League.
Asked for his verdict on Celtic completing a permanent move for Jota, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “That will be easy.
“Celtic are an attractive club, it’s a club where players will feel settled, they’re going to love their time there and are fighting for the league title.
“Those loans will be converted easily. I’d rather play for Celtic and Rangers than a Championship club.
“Definitely, they will be converted easily.”
Jota has scored eight times and provided six assists in 18 appearances across all competitions for Celtic since his arrival.
He has not played since the beginning of December due to a hamstring injury but was pictured back in training on the club’s Twitter account yesterday (13 January).
