Celtic tipped to seal major coup after Juranovic talks update - pundit
Noel Whelan has claimed Celtic could pull off a coup by signing Josip Juranovic from Legia Warsaw.
The former Aberdeen striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 26-year-old would be a “standout” in the Premiership.
As revealed by Football Insider on Tuesday (August 17th), Celtic are in negotiations with Warsaw and are set to table a bid for Juranovic.
The Bhoys have already had a bid knocked back by Warsaw.
The Hoops’ second offer is expected to exceed £2million.
Whelan suggested Juranovic would strengthen Celtic “massively” at right-back.

Asked if he thought Juranovic would be a coup for Celtic, Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I think so, absolutely massive.
“You think to yourself that kind of quality of player in the Scottish Premiership is going to be a standout.
“If you come to the Premier League you’re not going to be as much of a standout or you might not be first choice. He’s going to be first choice there in Scotland and in a very good Celtic side.
” They seem to be hitting the right buttons at the right time after their little stuttering start. They were letting themselves down massively because we know they’re better than that
“I think he’s going to strengthen them massively down that right-hand side. Another international to add to the internationals they already have.”
Anthony Ralston has been Ange Postecoglou’s first-choice right-back since the start of the season.
The 22-year-old has played every minute of the Hoops’ seven games this term.
He made just one appearance during the entirety of the 2020/21 campaign.
