Celtic told ‘big’ Tawanda Maswanhise offer will be accepted
Celtic will be given the chance to sign Motherwell striker Tawanda Maswanhise this summer if they offer a suitable fee.
Maswanhise has been a revelation for Motherwell this season and currently leads the Scottish Premiership scoring charts.
The Zimbabwean striker has shown some fine form under Jens Berthel Askou, with several clubs registering an interest in his services ahead of the summer.
Celtic are one of those, and as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, the Steelmen are set to be open to selling Maswanhise for a sizeable figure.
It is clear that Celtic’s transfer plans will involve signing a new forward to become their main man up front for next season.

Celtic have not had a regular goalscoring striker this season, and the likes of Daizen Maeda, Kelechi Iheanacho and Tomas Cvancara all look set to leave Parkhead this summer.
Maswanhise has shown his quality in the Premiership this season, with the Hoops battling Rangers and some English Championship sides for his signature.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “He is going into the final year of his contract, so they (Celtic) will know that they (Motherwell) won’t be able to resist a big money offer for Maswanhise either.
“Motherwell are a club who know that they won’t be able to keep hold of their best players if the bigger clubs come calling.”
Celtic could lose top scorer Benjamin Nygren amid Valencia interest
Celtic need to add more firepower and goalscoring ability to their squad for next term, especially with the future of top scorer Nygren looking uncertain ahead of the summer.
The attacking midfielder has registered 20 goals and eight assists in 53 appearances across all competitions in his debut campaign at Parkhead.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Valencia are eyeing a move for Nygren and the Swede is open to joining the La Liga club soon.
