Celtic could be about to land '£10m' windfall - Keith Wyness
Celtic could potentially secure as much as £10million from their move to host Oasis gigs next summer.
That is according to former Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who believes that the revenue they make could surpass what they receive from the TV rights for the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic Park is set to play host to Oasis for five nights in May 2027, in what could prove to be a hugely lucrative venture for the club.
Wyness believes that the Bhoys potentially stand to make as much as £2m from each gig, considering both the rent for the stadium and a cut of food and drink sales.
The Scottish businessman believes that it will provide a huge boost to the club's coffers, more so than anything they typically earn throughout the domestic season.
The Scottish Premiership typically pay out around £35m each season to be split across their 12 clubs, with the TV money making up a large percentage of that figure.
Hosting Oasis a 'big positive' for Celtic long-term
Aberdeen's former chief Wyness - who served as CEO at Pittodrie between 2000 and 2004 and now runs a consultancy business advising elite clubs - believes that hosting Oasis will be a "big positive" for Celtic long-term.
He outlined that it is a chance for them to prove that they can host more concerts in future, which are typically very lucrative events for clubs.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, Wyness explained how the Oasis gigs will give Celtic a major boost.
"It's a big positive for Celtic in terms of getting onto the concert radar, if you like, and becoming considered to be a venue," he said.
"They could be making £1.5m to £2m each night, so you know, it's big money.
"If you look at how that compares to the Scottish TV money, they're making more out of Oasis than they are out of the TV deal in some way, in theory."

Football Insider revealed last weekend that Celtic's squad remain fully behind manager Martin O'Neill after a difficult period in recent weeks.
Back-to-back defeats to Rangers prompted the 74-year-old to reveal that he will consider his long-term future during the international break.
However, sources say that the players are keen to see O'Neill continue at the helm, and still believe that he is the right man to lead the team forward.
The veteran boss remains under contract until the end of the season, while the club also hold the option to extend that deal by a further year.
