Celtic cruised into the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup thanks to an excellent 4-0 victory over Dundee United.

After a nervy start, the Hoops quickly got into their groove and took the lead after 22 minutes thanks to a wonderful flicked header from Auston Trusty.

Two minutes later, Camilo Duran doubled the visitors’ lead thanks to a composed effort from close range.

In the second half, Sebastian Tounekti netted Celtic’s third before Benjamin Nygren netted a fourth to put the game out of sight for Dundee United.

As a result, Martin O’Neill’s side has progressed in the Scottish League Cup with ease.

Below, Football Insider has rated each of the Celtic players after another highly impressive display on the road.

Benjamin Nygren runs the show vs Dundee United

Nygren already came into the match on fine form for Celtic after he netted twice and picked up an assist in the opening two matches.

However, against Dundee United, the midfielder was on another level.

First of all, he sent in a wonderful cross from a corner, which allowed Trusty to open the scoring with a header.

Then he provided once again for the visitors after he picked out Tounekti for Celtic to get their third.

He then rounded off an excellent display with the goal of the game as he slammed home the Hoops’ fourth to guarantee the victory.

Nygren was easily the best player on the pitch for Celtic, and he completely ran the show at Tannadice Park.

Camilo Duran makes his name known among Celtic supporters

Another key performer against Dundee United was Duran.

Coming in for a big fee this summer, there were questions on whether he would be able to replicate his performances in the Scottish Premiership.

However, after a solid first two games, he finally netted his first goal for the Hoops against Dundee United.

While there was some controversy surrounding the strike, it was no doubt a good finish from the Colombian.

On top of the goal, it was an all-round excellent game from the attacker, who has certainly made his name known among Celtic fans.
