Celtic are reportedly “very close” to sealing the signing of Haissem Hassan from Real Oviedo this summer transfer window.

Reports emerged on Thursday that negotiations between the two clubs have advanced significantly in recent days for the 24-year-old winger.

Although there are still some details that need to be ironed out, the deal could be completed shortly.

Celtic want Hassan at the club as soon as possible, ready for their Champions League playoff match against LASK.

The Hoops have previously seen a £3.4million offer rejected for the winger this summer transfer window as Martin O’Neill looks to upgrade his wide options.

However, the transfer saga now looks to be reaching its conclusion as Celtic look to retain their Scottish Premiership title this season.

The winger was fantastic for Egypt and was one of the best players on the pitch when they were defeated 3-2 by Argentina in the knockout stages.

Now, La Nueva Espana’s report indicates that this one-month transfer saga may finally be about to come to a close.

Celtic have been desperate for reinforcements up top all summer, and if a deal can be sealed before LASK’s match on Wednesday, it will give the club a massive boost in their hopes of reaching the Champions League’s league phase.
