Chelsea force Liverpool to make move for 32-goal striker who is ripping up league - report
By Harry Sykes
Liverpool are firmly in the race to sign Moussa Dembele from Celtic this summer, according to a report.
The Mail claim the Merseyside giants will battle to land the prolific striker after being galvanised by Chelsea’s attempts to land him in the January window.
It is said that Chelsea are continuing their interest in Dembele after being rebuffed by Celtic two months ago which, in turn, has solidified Liverpool’s desire to prise him from Parkhead.
It is said that both Premier League clubs, along with Arsenal, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, sent scouts to watch the 20-year-old in Celtic’s 1-1 Old Firm draw against Rangers on Saturday.
Dembele has been in outstanding form in recent months but had a quiet game as the Light Blues secured an upset by preventing Celtic from claiming all three points for only the second time in 28 Scottish Premiership fixtures this season.

Dembele has made a huge impact since joining on a free transfer last summer after his Fulham contract had expired.
He has scored 32 goals in 45 matches in all competitions for the runaway league leaders and is one of the main contenders to win the player of the year in his adopted country.
Significantly, the Frenchman has thrived in high profile matches, including Old Firm and Champions League encounters.
Such has been Dembele’s impact that there is growing speculation he will be named in the senior France squad for the first time in the friendly internationals later this month.
