Chelsea want to sign another striker in the January window after finalising a loan deal for Alexandre Pato, Football Insider sources understand.
Pato will arrive in London on a flight from Brazil on Wednesday and undergo a Stamford Bridge medical after agreeing the terms of a loan transfer until the end of the season.
But Chelsea are still in the market for another forward as they listen to offers for wantaway front man Loic Remy.
Leicester have become the latest club to make an enquiry for the France international and Chelsea are ready to offload him this month.
However, manager Guus Hiddink wants more forward back-up to undisputed first choice Diego Costa as he attempts to salvage something from a difficult season.
Pato has not played competitive football since November so will lack the required match fitness to step straight into the first-team, while on-loan Radamel Falcao is out until March with a thigh injury.
Chelsea have made enquiries for Sadio Berahino and Jamie Vardy but are not hopeful of signing either of them, while they have also been linked with Robin van Persie.
In other Chelsea news, Ramires has agreed to join Chinese Super League team Jiangsu Suning in a shock £25million transfer.
