Chelsea supporters believe they have already seen everything needed to convince them about new signing Dastan Satpayev.

The Blues agreed a pre-contract with the Kazakhstan youngster, with the striker just now joining the Premier League giants on a £3.5million deal.

Even with 26 goals and an assist in 57 games for Kairat Almaty, very few would have expected the 17-year-old to thrive straight away.

Satpayev already looks to have exceeded expectations, though, being given the chance to shine by Xabi Alonso in pre-season against Western Sydney on Tuesday, 28 July.

It took him all of seven minutes to open the scoring in fine fashion, breaking free of the opposition defence before smashing an effort into Jordan Holmes' near post.

He was then instrumental in the Blues' second goal, as Alonso's side were forced to come from behind in the first half, with Dario Essugo slotting home.

It was Satpayev's goal that stole the spotlight, however, and those watching on from West London have fallen head over heels for the new addition.

One supporter went as far to say that "he's better than [Harry] Kane," while another compared his finish to that of Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero.

It feels unfair to put this much pressure on a 17-year-old, but it is no surprise to see such a high level of excitement over his first performance.

Chelsea gem's success only bad news for Liam Delap

If Liam Delap wasn't already worried about his future at Stamford Bridge, he certainly should be now that Satpayev is pushing for senior minutes.

Football Insider understands that the Blues have offered the former Ipswich Town striker to Aston Villa, with Nottingham Forest the latest to join the race.

Delap's first season in West London is likely to be one that haunts him for the rest of his career, notching just three goals in 27 games.

He was the talk of the Premier League during his time at Portman Road, and while many are still interested, this isn't how the next stage of his career was supposed to go.
