Nottingham Forest fans all say the same thing about signing Liam Delap
Nottingham Forest fans are heavily against the club signing Chelsea flop Liam Delap this transfer window.
Reports have emerged that the 23-year-old is back on the Reds’ radar after a tough first season at Stamford Bridge.
Forest wanted to sign Delap last summer after an impressive campaign at Ipswich Town, but Chelsea ended up winning the race for his signature.
However, the £30million transfer to the Blues has not worked out, and he only netted one Premier League goal in 28 matches last season.
As a result, when the news broke that Forest were eyeing a deal for Delap, many fans were appalled.
Many deem the striker to simply not be good enough to have an impact at the City Ground during the 2026-27 campaign.
Nottingham Forest fans do not want Liam Delap to sign
Delap’s stock has collapsed over the past 12 months, despite once being seen as one of the best upcoming attacker’s England.
His awful season at Chelsea has shown many that he may not be England’s next great striker after all.
However, if The Telegraph’s report is correct, then Oliver Glasner may have hope that he can turn his form around in the coming months.
Nevertheless, Forest fans remain pessimistic and believe that the club should not pursue the signing of the 23-year-old going into the final weeks of the transfer window.
Who else are Nottingham Forest looking to sign this summer?
Reports have also emerged that Nottingham Forest have joined the race to sign Slovenia international Srdan Kuzmic this summer.
The 22-year-old has spent the last three years at Viborg, but could now leave the club this transfer window.
He is available for around £850,000 after only having one year left on his contract.
Toulouse, Dinamo Zagreb and Nottingham Forest are said to be involved in the race for Kuzmic, who made 34 appearances across all competitions last season at left-back.
This comes amid speculation that Nico Williams could depart the City Ground over the coming weeks amid interest from several clubs this summer transfer window.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen who Forest will bring into the club over the coming weeks as Glasner looks to propel the club up the Premier League table.
