Wales manager Chris Coleman has boldly stated that Tottenham star Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in Europe.
The 23-year-old has netted an incredible 20 goals in 24 Premier League matches for Spurs this season, despite missing parts of the season through injury.
His goal count is highly impressive, but he is often not mentioned alongside the best strikers in Europe with the likes of Luis Suarez, Robert Lewandowski, Karim Benzema and even Zlatan Ibrahimovic gaining more attention from the media and pundits than Kane.
However, Coleman has stated that he believes that Kane is among the best in Europe, which is an incredible feat given that his football career is still only beginning.
“In Harry Kane they’ve got one of the best strikers in Europe,” told Coleman to beinSPORTS, as shown on a YouTube football channel.
“This is a very, very good Tottenham team and looking at that I think it’s their seventh win. In the Premier League to win seven games on the bounce, you’ve got to be a good team to do that.”
Kane surprised many after he broke onto the scene in the 2014-15 campaign, scoring 21 Premier League goals from 34 appearances after struggling in loan moves with Leicester and Norwich.
Many expected he would stop scoring the following season, but it appears that the 17-time capped England international hasn’t looked back with an incredible return of 89 goals in 158 outings for Tottenham in total.
It is clear that Kane is now an establish goal scoring machine and with five years left on his current deal Spurs fans will be hoping he remains at the club for years to come.
