By Dominic Toner

Leeds have made two changes to their starting XI against Preston on Monday in the Championship.

Garry Monk has recalled Liam Bridcutt and Gaetano Berardi to the starting line-up as they missed the club’s 1-0 victory against Brentford.

Ronaldo Vieira and Charlie Taylor have missed out, with the latter suffering from an Achilles injury.

Leeds have announced their starting XI on their official Twitter account.

Young midfielder Vieira is the surprise omission from the starting XI and Bridcutt will hope to impress.

The 18-year-old has been a regular under Monk in recent weeks and will hope to make a positive impact off the bench.

Leeds will be thrilled to have their top scorer Wood back in the squad after he missed the last game with a hamstring problem.

The 25-year-old has been the club’s star player this season and scored 14 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions.

Leeds will be hoping to consolidate their position inside the play-off positions against Preston, who are currently 11th-placed in the table.

The Whites are fifth in the table and are just two points above Derby in seventh.
