Crystal Palace's response to Nottingham Forest's Dean Henderson bid revealed

Crystal Palace have rejected Nottingham Forest's offer to sign Dean Henderson, sources have told Football Insider.

The Eagles have no plans to lose the 29-year-old at this stage of the transfer window and have been clear he is not for sale at any price, despite the big-money offer.

Oliver Glasner had been keen to reuinite with his former goalkeeper as Nottingham Forest look to strengthen their squad in the days before the 1 September deadline.

However, any attempts to lure Henderson away from Selhurst Park will prove futile, with Crystal Palace determined to keep hold of their best players for Pierre Sage.

The England international made 52 appearances across all competitions last season and captained his side to Conference League success, proving his worth once again.

Sources say Crystal Palace have been braced to receive offers for Henderson all summer, but have been clear he is not for sale, with two years left on his contract.

Why do Crystal Palace want to keep Dean Henderson?

Football Insider revealed before the summer window opened that Crystal Palace would block any approaches for Henderson despite the level of interest in his signature.

Nottingham Forest are not the only club to be linked with the goalkeeper this summer, as Tottenham had also been considering him among their targets at one stage.

However, Crystal Palace's stance has not changed, and they still view him as an untouchable part of their plans for the coming season.

Sage has been reluctant to lose star players following Maxence Lacroix's move to Chelsea, and selling his first-choice goalkeeper and captain at this stage is not an option.

Henderson has been crucial to Palace's success over the last two seasons, during which time they have won the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League.

Despite Nottingham Forest tabling what sources describe as a "very big" bid for the goalkeeper, and his strong relationship with Glasner, any chance of a late move has been dismissed.

Nottingham Forest close in on another Crystal Palace star

While Crystal Palace are standing firm in their valuation of Henderson, they are prepared to let another big part of their trophy-winning squad move to the City Ground.

Football Insider first revealed on 29 August that Crystal Palace have accepeted an offer from Nottingham Forest for Daniel Munoz worth upwards of £22million.

That deal is expected to go through early next week, with the 30-year-old having been keen to make the switch and reuinite with his former manager at Forest.

Munoz was left out of the Eagles' 4-1 defeat against Man City as a precaution, and will now be allowed to travel to the City Ground to undergo the final stages of the deal.

Unlike Henderson, Crystal Palace have been prepared to let Munoz leave following the signings of Oscar Mingueza and Anan Khalaili earlier this summer.
