Crystal Palace in advanced talks to agree 'world-class' signing
Crystal Palace are in advanced talks to sign Real Salt Lake speedster Zavier Gozo, sources have told Football Insider.
An agreement is yet to be reached for the 19-year-old wing-back, but negotiations are centred on a deal worth around £11.1million.
All parties are confident that a deal could be wrapped up in the coming days.
Gozo has six goals and five assists so far this season playing for the MLS side, and has made it clear that he is now ready to make the move to Europe.
In June, the youngster was voted into the 2026 MLS All-Star First XI, becoming the first Utah native ever voted.
As a result, he has received plenty of praise, including from his manager Pablo Mastroeni, who cannot get over how fast Gozo is.
The manager has also backed the defender to be a success in the Premier League.

Gozo no doubt has the potential to be a big star in Europe.
His breakout season in the MLS was a clear hit, with the youngster showcasing plenty of brilliant attributes.
Given that talks areadvancing between Palace and Real Salt Lake for Gozo, this should excite the Selhurst Park faithful.
This is especially true when you delve into Mastroeni’s quotes from earlier this year.
Speaking to KSL Sport on 5 June, he said: “For me he’s a unicorn.
“Very rarely do you have a guy that is as fast as he is that can maintain the speed and endurance over 90 minutes.
“From that perspective, he is world-class. I’m saying Premier League. I’m saying any league in the world.”
Therefore, if Palace can get a deal over the line for Gozo in the coming weeks, he could prove to be a brilliant signing at the club.

Hull City and Derby County are keen on signing the 21-year-old on a permanent transfer this summer.
