Crystal Palace next manager: Frank Lampard odds-on favourite after Andoni Iraola news

Crystal Palace are still hunting for their next manager, with Oliver Glasner set to leave the club.

Andoni Iraola had been the heavy frontrunner for weeks, with the Spaniard also set to leave AFC Bournemouth now that the season is over.

However, now that Arne Slot has been sacked from Liverpool, The Guardian on 30 May believes that Iraola is likely to be appointed his successor.

As a result, one UK bookmaker has made Frank Lampard the odds-on favourite to take over at Selhurst Park at 4/5, with his odds now tumbling after the news.

Lampard had guided Coventry to the Premier League this season after winning the Championship title.

Frank Lampard remains in hot demand

Lampard has been continuously linked away from Coventry throughout the 2025-26 campaign.

The former England international reportedly held talks with Chelsea after the departure of Liam Rosenior.

On top of this, reports of a move to Palace have never dispersed since Glasner announced his departure.

Despite having a torrid time in the Premier League in his last spell at Chelsea, the 47-year-old’s reputation has been restored thanks to his work at Coventry.

However, it remains to be seen if he is willing to jump ship at the Sky Blues so quickly after getting the club promoted back to the Premier League.

Who else is linked with the Crystal Palace job?

With Crystal Palace set to play Europa League football next season, they are not short on potential suitors.

Pierre Sage is currently the second-favourite at 5/2 after he enjoyed a highly successful season at Lens where they narrowly missed out on a shock Ligue 1 title to PSG.

Dino Toppmoller is also one of the favourites for the role at 4/1 after his three-year spell at Eintracht Frankfurt came to an end in January.

Potential outsiders include Thomas Frank and Gareth Southgate, who are both placed at 20/1 odds to make their return to management at Crystal Palace.

However, it remains to be seen who the Eagles opt to appoint, with the incoming coach having big shoes to fill after the success that Glasner oversaw at Selhurst Park in recent years.
