Danjuma is a 'rare' talent who can dazzle for Liverpool after inside source's transfer update - pundit
Kevin Phillips has sung the praises of Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma amid interest from Liverpool.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the 2000 European Golden Shoe winner said the 24-year-old “is a nightmare for defenders” and “can hurt any team on his day.”
This site revealed on 30 September that Liverpool have set their sights on Danjuma ahead of a potential move in 2022 and the latest from a Reds source today is they are continuing to keep tabs on him.
According to Fabrizio Romano (28 December), staff at Anfield “really love” the ex-Bournemouth winger.
However, as reported by Kevin Palmer in the Sunday World (4 January), the Reds will make no major signings this month.
Therefore, any move for Danjuma would likely come in the summer.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of Danjuma’s credentials, Phillips said: “Danjuma is a very, very good player.
“On his day he is a nightmare for defenders. He can create and score goals. He can hurt any defence with his pace and directness.
“I know it was in the Championship but he’s proved he can perform in this country. I think he’d be available for reasonable money as well. I don’t think he’d cost the world.
“He is a player who can hurt any defence on his day. He’s shown that countless times. Players like him are a rarity in this day and age.”
Danjuma has contributed nine goals and three assists in 18 appearance this season.
His Villarreal contract runs until the summer of 2026.
In other news, a pundit has predicted Liverpool could soon face a difficult transfer decision over 23-year-old loved by Virgil van Dijk.
