Mills digs at Leeds star who lost possession 14 times v Watford and had fewer touches than Meslier
Rodrigo has failed to show his potential so far for Leeds United, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Whites and England defender delivered his verdict after Rodrigo had another afternoon to forget against Watford.
The forward operated in his preferred role as a striker in the 1-0 win that saw Watford part company with manager Xisco Munoz.
According to sofascore, Rodrigo completed just nine of his 18 attempted passes – a completion rate of 50 per cent.
He had 32 touches in 90 minutes – five fewer than goalkeeper Illan Meslier.
Going forward, the 30-year-old lost possession a whopping 14 times.

The Spain international has been utilised further forward in recent weeks with Patrick Bamford out injured.
And Mills has insisted he has to “repay the faith” shown in him by Marcelo Bielsa.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “He hasn’t quite hit the heights so far that everybody expected so far.
“I go back to the Fulham game where he missed three really good chances and didn’t even hit the target. Maybe he’s lacking in confidence.
“With Bamford out, he really needs to step up and show how good he is. Leeds really need him at the moment and he has to repay that faith put in him.”
Rodrigo is yet to score or provide an assist in eight appearances across all competitions for the Whites this term.
He found the net seven times and contributed two assists in 26 Premier League appearances, including 14 starts.
