David Beckham: Tottenham youngster is one of the shining lights from these talented players

David Beckham believes Tottenham youngster Dele Alli is “one of the shining lights” from the talented players coming through the English system.
The 21-year-old was named the PFA’s Young Player of the Year for the second consecutive season beating a number of top players to the prize.
Alli’s Spurs teammates, Harry Kane, Manchester City attacker, Leroy Sane and Burnley defender, Micheal Keane were just a number of players shortlisted for the award.
But after a season where Alli has struck 20 goals in all competitions from the middle of the park, it was pretty hard looking past the highly-rated player.
Former Manchester United winger Beckham was full of praise for the former MK Dons player, who has made a meteoric rise from League One during the past few campaigns.

“We’re lucky as a nation to have young talented players coming through, and he is, without a doubt, one of the shining lights of these young players,” said Beckham, as quoted by the London Evening Standard.
“He plays the game with a certain arrogance, and it’s good to have that arrogance because a lot of top players have that. He’s a joy to watch.”
There are a number of good young players coming through the English system once again, but it remains to be seen whether they can live up to the billing.
Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate has recently given game time to the likes of centre-back Keane and Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford.
But it seems, Alli’s goalscoring season has caught the eye of Beckham, who is hoping the attacking midfielder can produce the goods for his country too.
Alli has played 17 matches for his national side, where he has found the back of the net on two occasions.
