Everton are in advanced talks to sell Idrissa Gueye to Paris Saint-Germain for a near-£30million profit, Football Insider can reveal.

The Merseysiders are ready to given the green light for the central midfielder to head to the French champions after they tabled a bid of £27million rising to a potential £36million.

An Everton source has told Football Insider the transfer could now be finalised next week after indications Gueye is keen to move to PSG following the finale of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Merseysiders have already prepared for the exit of the 29-year-old by signing Andre Gomes from Barcelona on a permanent deal and capturing Fabian Delph from Manchester City last week.

Silva will not stay in his way if Everton can secure what would be an enormous profit of nearly £30million on the player they signed from Aston Villa for £7million in 2016.

Negotiations are set to continue in the coming days and there is an increasing likelihood he has played his last game for Everton.

Gueye has made 108 appearances for the Merseysiders during the last three years, including 33 Premier League starts in the last campaign.

He has three years remaining on his Everton contract and turns 30 in September.
