Major transfer twist in Liverpool chase for PL 23-year-old - report
By Matt Bullin
Liverpool’s interest in Hull City left-back Andrew Robertson has cooled, according to a report.
The Liverpool Echo claims the Reds’ reported move for the 23-year-old is now unlikely to materialise.
This comes despite the fact the Mirror reported the deal was all but done, and would be announced on July 1 when the summer window opens.
Robertson, a 14-time Scotland international, has been one of the shining lights in Hull’s campaign this term and has made 38 appearances in all competitions.
The Echo report also states Liverpool have upped their interest in Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon as they look to solve their left-back problem.

Liverpool fans won’t be too bothered by the news their club’s interest in Robertson has cooled, as their reactions to the rumour the deal was done were not exactly positive.
Football Insider verdict
The news Liverpool’s interest in Robertson has cooled will be music to many fans’ ears. Robertson has been a good performer for Hull this term, but his side are being relegated from the Premier League. He has been touted as an attacking threat on the left-flank, and his delivery is admittedly good, but he has provided just two assists in the league this term. The Scottish international is a decent Premier League player, but if Klopp and his side have serious ambitions of winning trophies or even the league – they need better than this.
