Trevoh Chalobah's form for both Chelsea and Crystal Palace this season has been rewarded with a first England call-up.

Chelsea sent Chalobah out on loan to Selhurst Park last summer after he dropped out of Enzo Maresca's first-team plans, but the Italian was quick to rectify this once the January transfer window came around.

Chalobah was duly recalled from Palace mid-season and has since played a key role in a successful campaign, as Chelsea both qualified for the Champions League and won the UEFA Conference League.

Palace also kicked on after Chalobah's recall and won their first major trophy in the form of last month's FA Cup success, and former team-mate Marc Guehi didn't forget the Chelsea loanee's contribution.

Chalobah sends message after Thomas Tuchel call

Although Chalobah was a near ever-present and featured 19 times after his return to Stamford Bridge in January, the 25-year-old's future remains uncertain as Chelsea prepare yet another summer overhaul.

For the time being, however, Chalobah's full focus is on international duty after he received a first ever call-up to the England senior team by Thomas Tuchel for their matches against Andorra and Senegal.

With a senior Three Lions debut in his sights, Chalobah posted on Instagram (2 June) from England's training camp in Barcelona ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifier with Andorra on 7 June.

In the post, which was liked by Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella and soon-to-be England team-mate Declan Rice, Chalobah said: "God's grace".

Chalobah future uncertain amid Chelsea transfer speculation

Guehi and Oliver Glasner's squad's admiration for Chalobah was made clear after their FA Cup win, and that has only heightened speculation that a return to Crystal Palace could be on the cards this summer.

The Palace captain's own future is subject to plenty of transfer reports, and Football Insider revealed on 2 June that Guehi has turned down a move to Tottenham with Liverpool now his most likely destination.
