Former Chelsea star Frank Lampard has said that Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli is among the world’s best when it comes to finishing his chances in front of goal.
The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the brightest talents in the Premier League at Spurs, and finished last season as the top scoring midfielder in the top flight with 18 goals, more than the likes of Eden Hazard and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
He has continued his fine form in front of goal this season, with five goals in 12 outings in domestic competitions, while he marked his return to European football after suspension with a brace to sink Champions League holders Real Madrid in a 3-1 victory.
Now Lampard has said that the youngster, who has come under fire for his performances recently, and was compared to an alcoholic by Ian Wright, is one of the very best at finishing his chances, and lauded him for the quality of the runs he makes.
Speaking on BT Sport’s coverage of Wednesday’s clash (01/11, 19:00) the former Premier League star said: “I think a while ago now he got moved behind Harry Kane because simply his runs are too good.
