'It's difficult' – Heckingbottom drops strong hint about Saiz ahead of Leeds v Brentford

Paul Heckingbottom has delivered a cautious fitness update on star attacker Samu Saiz after he made his return in the 2-2 draw with derby in midweek.
Saiz didn’t start the game after missing six games through suspension but looked sharp when he was introduced for Kemar Roofe in the 55th minute.
He set up Leeds second goal but it wasn’t enough as Derby hit back with a heart-breaking late equaliser in the 92nd minute.
Talking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Championship game with Brentford on Saturday, Heckingbottom dropped a strong hint that Saiz would start from the bench again.
“You can train, but it’s difficult coming straight back into games,” he said, as quoted by Leeds live.
“He’ll be stronger again in the next game he plays in.”
Leeds’ troubles really kicked in this season with Saiz out of the side.
They didn’t win any of the six games while he was out suspended, losing four and draw two.
However, Heckingbottom has suggested that he’s still a way off full match fitness, and explained that he didn’t start him against Derby as he wouldn’t have lasted the full 90 minutes.
That looks like being the same again against Brentford on Saturday.
