Tottenham loanee Djed Spence is one of multiple senior players who are expected to leave the club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke explained that the club are willing to listen to offers for the right-back going into the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Italian club Genoa, having spent the first half of the season on loan at Leeds United.

Spence, who joined Spurs from Middlesbrough in July 2022, has made just six appearances for the North London club.

Tottenham loanee must exit club to further career

The defender arrived at the Premier League club with high expectations, but he has seen his Spurs career slowly fade away, having been previously loaned out to French outfit Rennes.

The 23-year-old is now looking to find his feet again with Serie A side Genoa, where he has made nine appearances.

Spence has been utilised at full-back and wide midfield in Italy, having struggled for minutes at Leeds earlier in the season.

The right-back made just seven appearances in an injury-hit spell under Daniel Farke at the Elland Road club.

Following his exit from West Yorkshire in January, former Spurs defender Alan Hutton told Football Insider that “something happened” with the player behind the scenes at Elland Road, questioning if Spence was focused or worked hard enough for Farke.
